Therapeutic Approaches

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Sometimes our brains hold onto painful memories in a way that feels stuck, like they’re happening all over again. EMDR helps your brain “unstick” those memories so they no longer cause as much pain or anxiety. Using gentle eye movements or tapping, we’ll work together to help your nervous system process what happened—without needing to talk about every detail. It’s a powerful way to feel more in control of your story and less defined by what you’ve been through.

Internal Family Systems(IFS)
We all have different parts of ourselves—like the part that pushes us to do more, the part that feels anxious, or the part that tries to keep us safe. IFS helps you get to know these parts with curiosity instead of judgment. In therapy, we gently explore what each part is trying to do for you and work toward more balance and understanding within yourself. Many people find that this work brings deep emotional relief and a stronger sense of self-compassion.

Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART)
When we’ve experienced stress or trauma, our bodies can stay stuck in survival mode—always on edge, shut down, or overwhelmed. SMART uses movement, rhythm, and sensory tools (like weighted blankets or calming visuals) to help your body feel more regulated and safe. This is especially helpful for people who have a hard time talking about what they’ve been through or who feel things in their bodies before they even have words. It’s a gentle, body-based way to begin healing.
